Dès un jeune âge, Norm a entamé sa carrière à Mother’s Own Bakery. Il a ensuite travaillé dans la cafétéria de l’Université de Moncton jusqu’à ce qu’il accepte la tâche exigeante de gérant et ensuite de propriétaire d’Elmer’s Pizza, à Dieppe. Il a ensuite travaillé comme conseiller sur le terrain pour Decker Boy et superviseur de rayon chez Barbour Foods. En 1991, il est devenu fondateur et propriétaire de Norm’s Pizza, à Dieppe, où il a surtout aimé accueillir et servir sa clientèle jusqu’à son départ à la retraite. Il avait un grand intérêt dans la politique municipale de Dieppe et pendant de nombreuses années, il a été conseiller municipal et adjoint au maire. Il aimait beaucoup être en compagnie de sa famille à la plage à Cap-Brûlé. Il était passionné de musique et avait le don de divertir les gens. Norm était un homme heureux. Les gens qui l’ont connu se souviendront toujours qu’il avait un coeur d’or, un sourire radieux et une grande générosité envers les autres.3
