E. Leger
Eugene (Gene) Leger, 78, of 270 West Lane, Moncton died Monday at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late Thaddee and Yvonne (Leger) Leger. A past proprietor of Eastern Heating and Ventilation, he was also a retired employee of N.B. Power and the City of Moncton. He attended Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton and was one of the founder of Cercle Acadien and Club Beausejour. His first wife, the former Alice Dupuis, died in 1956. He is survived by his second wife, the former Bertille Blackmun of Moncton; one daughter, Mrs. David Cogger (Janet) of Lower Coverdale; one sister, Mrs. Sifroi LeBlanc (Antoinette) of Memramcook and one brother, Dollard of Moncton.; A sister, Huberte, and a brother, Arthur, died previously. Funeral mass was celebrated this morning at Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe. Arrangements are in the care of Frenette's Funeral Home, Moncton.

Eliane Johnson
MEMRAMCOOK WEST - Eliane Johnson, 79, of Memramcook West, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 1996 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in Memramcook West, she was the daughter of the late Eloi and Sara (Cormier) Leger. She was an employee with Lounsburys until retirement. She attended St. Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of Auxiliary Ladies of the Legion de Memramcook, member of les Dames d'Acadie de Memramcook and a member of the Golden Age Club of Memramcook.
She is survived by one sister, Anita (Rene) LeBlanc of Memramcook West; two brothers, Benoit (Lorraine) Leger of Memramcook West and Guy (Alphonsine) Leger of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Laurie Johnson in September 1996, two brothers, Lorenzo and Leopold.
Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph on Saturday, September 21, 1996 at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Mrs. E. Leger
Mrs. Edith Leger, 82, of 422 Acadia Ave., Dieppe, died Thursday at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton, following a lengthy illness. Born in Lourde, she was a daughter of the late Edouard and Dometholde (LeBlanc) Saulnier. She was formally employed with Humphrey's Mill. She attended Ste. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe. Twice married her first husband, Peter Gallant died in 1971, and her second husband, Alban Leger, died in January, 1983. She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs Emery LeBlanc (Marie), Fox Creek, Mrs. Alphonse Collette (Dora), St Phillip, Mrs Lionel Leger (Rita), Notre Dame, Mrs Gerald Robichaud (Therese), Dieppe, Mrs Ernest Melanson (Corrine), New Hampshire, Mrs Jeanette Caissie and Mrs Gloria LeBlanc, both of Moncton; one step-daughter, Mrs Frank Walker (Doreen), Mississauga, Ont.; Five sons, Alfred Gallant, Saint John, Gerard Gallant, Havelock, Arthur Gallant, Dieppe and Hector Gallant, Toronto; four step-sons, Yvon Leger, Barachois, Clarence Leger, St Paul, Gerald and Edgar Leger, both of Dieppe; one sister. Mrs Joseph Caissie (Maggie), Moncton; two brothers, Johnny, Moncton and Pascal, River Glade; 35 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Moncton. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Ste Threse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

M. Gaspard Gaudet
M. Gaspard Gaudet, de St-Joseph, est décédé subitement à la maison, le lundi 2 août, à l'âge de 81 ans.
Originaire de St-Joseph, il était le fils de feu Henri et Vitaline (née Bourque) Gaudet.
Il laisse dans le deuil trois frères: Gustave, de Shédiac, Gérard et Alphonse, de St-Joseph; ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Son épouse, Irène (née Gaudet) est décédée en 1963; sa soeur Sylvia (Mme Alphée Léger), est décédée en 1981.
La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon funéraire Dupuis, de Memramcook. Les funérailles auront lieu aujourd'hui à 10h30 avec service funèbre en l'église St-Thomas à St-Joseph et inhumation au cimetière paroissial.
