NOTRE-DAME - Mrs. Cécilia Richard, 42, of Notre-Dame passed away on Friday, October 18, 1996 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of Valérie and Georgina (Cormier) Léger. She was employed at La Caisse Populaire de Notre-Dame, was with Mouvements Scouts-Guides de Notre-Dame and she was involved with the former garderie/maternelle of Notre-Dame. She was a also a big soft-ball fan. She attended Notre-Dame-du-Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Notre Dame.
Besides her parents, she is suvived by her husband, Alderic Richard; one daughter, Rachelle; and one son, Mario all of Notre-Dame; three sisters, Marie Richard (Roger), Josette Léger (Gilles Arsenault), Joanne Boucher (Mario) all of Notre-Dame; seven brothers, Neil (Linda), Guy, Normand (Pauline), Claude (Ginette), Aldége all of Notre-Dame, Fernand (Murielle) of Bouctouche and Michel of Leominster, Mass., USA: nine nieces, 8 nephews several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Resting at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church (Notre-Dame) with visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 p.m. until hour of funeral. Funeral mass will be held at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church (Notre Dame) on Monday, October 21, 1996 at 7 p.m.
