HAUTE-ABOUJAGANE (Special) - Thomas LeBlanc, 78, of Haute-Aboujagane died Sunday at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Haute-Aboujagane, he was a son of the late Julien and Marianne (Gaudet) LeBlanc, and had been a woodsman and night watchman before retirement. He attended Sacred-Heart Roman Catholic Church, Haute Aboujagane, and was a member of Haute-Aboujagane Golden Age Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Boudreau; 10 daughters, Mrs. Oliver Cormier (Camilla), Mrs. Arthur Melanson (Jeannine), Mrs. Claide Cormier, Mrs. Claudia LeBlanc, Mrs. Donald Leger (Cecile) and Mrs. Omer Melanson (Fernande), all of Haute-Aboujagane, Mrs. Romeo Boudreau (Marie-Jeanne) of Barachois, Mrs. Michel Lupien (Lilianne), Mrs. Ronny Belair (Dianne) and Mrs. Jacques Guenette (Marie-Anne), all of Montreal; five sons, Clorice, Adrice and Gerald, all of Haute-Aboujagane, Emile and Roger, both of Montreal; two sisters, Mrs. Sara Boudreau of Shediac and Mrs. Natalie LeBlanc of Fitchburg, Mass.; two brothers, Henri of Barachois and Melasse of Waltham, Mass.; 56 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A daughter, Yolande, a son, Eugene, two brothers, Adrice and Willie, and two sisters, Lina and Zelica, died previously.
The body will be at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac, this evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at Sacred-Heart Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
