86, 304 Fraser St., New Waterford, died January 14, 1995, at home. Born at Bay St. Lawrence, she was a daughter of the late Hugh B. and Janie (MacLellan) MacEachern. She was a member of St. Agnes Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are sons, Bernie, South Bar; John H., New Victoria; Allan J., Toronto; daughters, Hughina (Mrs. Tony Vultaggio), Jean (Mrs. Laurie Legere), Toronto; Terry (Mrs. R.J. Campbell), Winnipeg; Beatrice MacLellan, at home; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh; son, William R.; brothers, Allan, Allan, Joe; sisters, Sarah Jobes, Marcella Churchill, Flora Jobes, Elizabeth MacKinnon, Jessie Lettuce, Mary. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. Funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Church, Rev. Raymond King officiating. Burial in parish cemetery.

Eldred Smith
Mr. Eldred Smith, "Smitty", 76, of Grande-Digue, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2001, at The Moncton Hospital.
Born June 27, 1924 in Moncton, he was the Smith and Marguerite Fougere. He was past owner-operator of Moncton Electric Motor Services before retirement, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mainbrace Club of Moncton, Senior's Bowling League, and Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6. He also served aboard the H.M.C.S. Restigouche for the Navy during W.W.2.
He is survived by three daughters, Dianna Leger (Maurice) of Grande-Digue, Kathryn Melanson (Edward) of Riverview, Tamara Melanson (Michael) of Greenwood, NS; six sons, Bruce of Nanaimo, Eldred "Allen" of Toronto, Terrance of Moncton, Peter (Jill) of Saint-Paul, Paul (Colleen) of Borden, ON, Reid (Norma) of Lower Coverdale; a sister, Marjorie Fulton "Mickey" of Brighton, ON; 18 grandchildren, Amber, Alana, Tyler, Justin, Xavier, Electra, Sebastien, Kristian, Bailey, Steven, Richard, Ryan, Crystal, Aaron, Bradley, Brandon, Kayley, Amanda; three great grandchildren, Matthew, Chandler, Dana; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Furlotte) Smith; a son, Glenn; and a sister, Eleanor Melanson.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton, (858-1900). Visiting hours Monday from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until time of departure (9:30). The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2001, at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande-Digue. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
The Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6, will hold a Legion Service Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. from the funeral home.
Memorial donations to the NB Lung or Canadian Paraplegic Association has been requested by the family.

CARAQUET - À l’Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus de Caraquet, le dimanche 11 juillet 2004, à l’âge de 89 ans, est décédée Léonie «Léonille» Gallien, épouse de feu Simon Gallien, domiciliée à Caraquet. Elle était fille de feu Joseph Hébert et de feu Élizabeth Frigault. Elle laisse dans le deuil cinq filles: Édith (feu Ivan Hébert) de Sarnia, Ont., Desneige (Léo Grenon) de Sudbury, Ont., Annette (Martin Chamberlain) de Marathon, Ont., Marie Hélène (Roger Blanchard) de Pokemouche et Élisabeth (Maurice Léger) de Moncton; un fils, Patrice (Sandi Chipman) de Sarnia, Ont.; 12 petits-enfants et 13 arrière-petits-enfants; une soeur, Estelle (Alonzo Landry) de Grande-Anse; six belles-soeurs: Anita (feu Patrice Hébert) de Saint-Simon, Alice (feu Adélard Hébert) de Québec, Maria Landry de Grande-Anse, Jeanne Gallien de Caraquet, Jeanne Danford de Sudbury, Ont. et Angèle Gallien de Bathurst; un beau-frère, Jean Gallien de Montréal, Qc, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Quatre frères: Alex, Patrice, Pascal et Adélard, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le mercredi 14 juillet, à la Maison funéraire Racicot de Caraquet. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens de Caraquet, le jeudi 15 juillet, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. Heures de visites: le mercredi 14 juillet, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le jeudi 15 juillet, de 14h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. À la demande de la famille, un don à la Fondation de l’Hôpital l’Enfant-Jésus de Caraquet serait apprécié. LeBLANC, Allain O. -
78, passed away after a lenghty illness in Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on November 17, 1996. He was a retired employee of Air Canada in Halifax. He was born in Belliveau Village, Memramcook, on February 11, 1918, and was the son of the late Andre O. LeBlanc and Salome Bourque. He had been living in Belliveau Village for the past several years. He is survived by his wife, Elmire (Belliveau) LeBlanc; daughters, Claudette (James) Spinks, Hoover, Ala.; Pauline LeBlanc, Belliveau Village; Paulette (Guy) Leger, Cocagne; sons, Romeo (Susan) LeBlanc, Southington, Conn.; Bernard (Juliette) LeBlanc, Calgary, Alta.; sisters, Obeline (late Louis) Gaudet, Dorice (late George) Sharon, both of Somers, Conn.; Andrea (Armand) Gaudet, Waltham, Mass.; brother, Normand LeBlanc, Belliveau Village. He also leaves nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant son, Oscar; sisters, Laura, Irene, Carmelita, Aurise, Corinne; brothers, Irois, Antoine, Alphe, Emery, Arsene. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of NotreDame de l'Annonciation Parish, Pre-d'en-Haut and was also a member of Club D'Age D'Or, Pre-d'enHaut. The remains will be resting at Dupuis' Funeral Home, Memramcook, with visiting hours on Wednesday, November 20, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. and again on Thursday, November 21, from 2-6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, at 7 p.m. at Norte-Dame de Annonciation Church, Pre-d'en-Haut. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Pre-d'en-Haut. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Association or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Née à Rhodes Island, U.S.A., elle était la fille de feu Pierre Henri et Sara O'Brien.
Elle faisait partie des Dames Chrétiennes de la paroisse Ste-Thérèse de Dieppe.
Elle laisse dans le deuil outre son mari, Antoine LeBlanc, quatre filles, Mme Jean Gallant (Blanche) de Moncton, Mme Loraine Despré de Dieppe, Mme Alyre Léger (Stella) de Dieppe, Mme Réginald Gallant de Montréal; quatre garçons, Zoël, de Moncton, Léo de Sudbury, Ont., Francis de Dieppe, chef d'atelier à l'Evangéline, et Yvon de Toronto.
Elle laisse également quatre soeurs, Mme Hubert Cormier (Imelda) de Moncton, Mme André Daigle (Marguerite) de New Bedofrd, Conn, Mme Rubin Olson (Florida) de Miami, U.S.A., et Mlle Suzanne Henri de Moncton.
La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée au salon funéraire Frenette, 80 rue Church. Les funérailles auront lieu lundi matin à 9 h, en l'église Ste-Thérèse de Dieppe et l'inhumation se fera au cimetière N.D. du Calvaire de Chartersville.

ROGERSVILLE, NB - Marie Maillet, 87, of Foyer L'Assomption, Rogersville and formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Noinville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alex and the late Josephine (née: Gaudet) Hebert. She is survived by three daughters, Rita (Yvon) Duclos and Yolande Haché, both of Rogersville and Sadie Maillet of Moncton; two sons, Yvon (Germaine) Maillet of Dieppe and Raymond Richard of Rogersville; two sisters, Eva (late Camille) Leger of Dieppe and Emma (Eddie) Martin of Rogersville; several grandchildren, many great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Adolphe in 2001; one sister, Dora and also by three brothers, Francois, Alexandre and Alyre. Visitation will be held from the Rogersville Funeral Salon on Monday, September 5, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm, Tuesday, September 6, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm and also on Wednesday from 9am until time of funeral. 65, Pinkneys Point, Yarmouth Co., passsed away January 18, 1999, in Pinkneys Point. Born in Pinkneys Point, he was a son of Adele Saulnier and the late Enos Joseph Saulnier. He was retired from the Toronto Transit Commision after 35 years of service. He belonged to the Senior Citizens Club of Pinkneys Point and the Wharf Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Wendy Edgeworth; son, John and companion Lindsay Zahn, Toronto; daughters, Jennifer (Mrs. Bill Minicuci), Toronto; Julie Saulnier-Stevenson, Pinkneys Point; brothers, Clifford, Brampton, Ont.; Elize, Melbourne, Yarmouth Co.; sisters, Geraldine (Mrs. Gilbert Pothier), Ruth (Mrs. Victor Doucette), Florence (Mrs. Leroy Legere), all of Pinkneys Point. Loving grandfather of Ryan and Jordan Stevenson; Kyle and Nicolas Minicuci. He was predeceased by son, Michael. CUMMINGS, Barbara Brigid -
74, Halifax, died in the VG Site, QEII, on December 1, 1998, after a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Martin) Cummings. She received her early education at Mount St. Vincent University and had a lifelong interest in music. She studied voice and piano in the Halifax Conservatory of Music and later music education at Dalhousie University. Before her retirement, she held several positions in Montreal and Halifax, including positions with CNR, Workmen's Compensation Board of Nova Scotia and several federal government departments. She was active in various parish activities at St. Mary's Basilica including St. Vincent de Paul Society. She is survived by sisters, Margaret Legere, Joan Cummings, both of Halifax; Ruth Sinnema and husband Luc, Calgary; brother, Donald, Halifax. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home, 2032 Robie St. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Basilica. MacKENZIE, Chester Earl -
80, 23 Alexander St., Glace Bay, died July 19, 1997, at home. Born at Glace Bay, he was a son of the late James and Eva (Reese) MacKenzie. He was employed for 43 years with the Town of Glace Bay street department, retiring as street superintendent in 1982. He was an adherent of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Glace Bay. Né à Barachois, il était le fils de feu Adolphe Léger et feue Alvina (née LeBlanc) Léger.
Il laisse dans le deuil, outre son épouse, trois filles et un fils: Mme Jean-Roch Goupil (Gisèle), Mme Lorraine Léger, Mlle Jocelyne Léger et Paul tous de Moncton. Il laisse également quatre soeurs et cinq frères: Mme Dina Cormier de Robichaud, Mme Marguerite Pillon de Montréal, Mme Angela Doiron de Shédiac, Mlle Irène Léger de Cap Pelé, Robert, Alyre, Laurie, Emile tous de Robichaud et Aristide de Shédiac.
Les funérailles ont eu lieu hier à 13h30 en l'église Notre Dame de Grâce avec inhumation dans le cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire.

Jeanita Gagnon, 68, wife of Roger S. Gagnon of Dieppe passed away Saturday January 4, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a long and brave battle with cancer. Born November 20, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Boudreau) Goguen. She was employed with Université de Moncton, and SEARS before her retirement. Jeanita touched many lives over the years, her rippling laughter was well known. Her volunteer work at the Dr. Georges-L.Dumont Hospital was very special but her greatest joy in her life was her children, and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 47 years Roger; two daughters, Denise Marini (Adriano), and Monik Leger both of Moncton; a son, Charles (Charline Doiron) of Dieppe; six grandchildren: Melissa, Sophie, Luc, Cedric, Bianca, Mila,; three sisters: Doris Arsenault (Albert), and Linda MacMullin (Dave) both of Moncton, Diana Savoie (Ivan) of Nashua, NH; two brothers: Alyre (Noëlla Maillet) of Scoudouc, Ronald (Eva Savoie) of Moncton; a special sister-inlaw Maria (Richard) Goguen, several nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Raymond, Camille, and Alcide Goguen. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday January 8, 2003 at SaintAnselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, Father Paul Breau officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. At the request of the family, memorial donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated.

ROGERSVILLE, NB - Yvonne Lavoie, of Rogersville, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital on Monday, January 6, 2002 at the age of 92. Born in Causapscal, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late George and Laura (Lagace) Gaudet. She was a homemaker and attended St. Francois de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville. She was a member of the Golden Age Club and Charismatique. She is survived by two daughters, Antoinette Richard (Gerald) of Rogersville, Beatrice Maillet (Andre) of Waltham, MASS; three sons, Rheal (Therese) of Montreal, Calixte (Nicole) of Mascouche, Laurie of Rogersville; two sisters, Rita Martin of Rogersville, Beatrice Legere of Toronto; two brothers, Emile (Mariette) of Moncton, Calixte (Doreen) of Rogersville; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Her husband Willie, one sister, Louise and two brothers, Leo-Pold and Henri predeceased her. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Francois de Sales Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room in Rogersville on Wednesday from 7-9 and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. Francois de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville at 11 am with Father Denis Belliveau officiating. Raymond Eli Joseph Doiron, 71, of Cornhill Street, Moncton, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, January 22, 2006. Born September 24, 1934 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Melina (Cormier) Doiron. Raymond was a retired Corporal for RCAF, and employee at Hôtel Beauséjour. He was also a member of the Moncton Legion No. 6 and Air Force Club. He is survived by four children, Susan Herbert of NS, Louise of Moncton, Denise (Danny) of Dieppe, Rhean of Moncton; two sisters, Yvonne LeBlanc (Regis) of Moncton, Jeannine Bourque of Dieppe; a brother, Ronald of Moncton; three grandchildren, Crystal, Jonathan, Melanie; three great grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, Sebastien; his former wife, Claudette (Leger); many nieces and nephews. The death of Clarence Benjamin MacRae of RR 6, Harrisville, occurred Tuesday at the Moncton Hospital after a sudden illness. He was 73.
Born in Blackville, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Maude (Hosford) MacRae. He was a retired brakeman with Canadian National Railways. He attended St Philip's Anglican church, Moncton.
During World War Two he served overseas with the 104th Battalion and later with forestry in Scotland.
He is survived by his wife, the former Violet Kerton, four daughters, Mrs Stewart Fram (Margaret), Moncton; Mrs. Murray Smith (Irene), Riverview, Mrs. Leo Leger (Susan), Robichaud Office; Mrs Stuart MacDonald (Judith), Uigg, P.E.I., one sister, Mrs. Helen Hayward, and one brother, Borden MacRae, both of Blackville, and nine grandchildren.
The body is resting at Tuttle Brothers funeral home. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2.30 p.m. at St Philip's Anglican Church. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

GRANDE DIGUE (Special) – Joseph (Anselme) Bourque, 89, of Grande Digue, died Saturday at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a brief illness.
Born in St. Marcel, he was the son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Bourque) Bourque. He was a retired employee with CN Rail, gang section, where he had worked for 44 years. He attended La Visitation Roman Catholic, Grande Digue.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Maillet (Julia) of Grande Digue; four sons, Romeo of St. Antoine, Ulric of Waltham, Mass., Andre of Grande Digue and Camille of St. Anselme; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Leger of Moncton, Mrs. Lina Caissie et St. Marcel and Mrs. Alphonse Melanson (Edmee) of Scoudouc; three brothers, Arthur and Camille, both of Grande Digue, and Edgar of Barachois; 11 grand-children, and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Emilienne gallant, in 1980.
The body is at Frenette’s Funeral Home, Shediac. Funeral mass will be celebrated tonight at 7 p.m. at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande Digue. Interment will be in Grande Digue Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Born in Haute Aboujagane, he was the son of the late Jimmy and Julie (Arsenault) Cormier. He was a retired welder and blacksmith with CN Rail, and attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac.
He is survived by a daughter, Laura of Charlottetown, P.E.I.; a son, Emile (Mickey) of Moncton, a sister, Melanie Leger of Fitchburg, Mass; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Dina McGraw in 1982.
The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Outre sa mère, il laisse dans le deuil cinq soeurs: Denise (Yvon Bourgeois) de Moncton, Gracia (Yoland Landry) de Beresford, Raymonde (Yvon St-Cœur) de Fredericton, Lauza (David Parisé) de Caraquet, et Francine (Maurice Roussel) de Saint-Isidore, ainsi qu'un frère, Alphonse (Raymond Léger) de Tracadie-Sheila.

À l’Hôpital Dr Georges-L. Dumont de Moncton, le samedi 2 mars 1991, à l’âge de 95 ans, est décédée Clara Cormier, épouse en première noce de feu Cléophas Surette et en deuxième noce de feu Philippe Cormier, domiciliée à Cocagne. Elle était fille de feu Laurent LeBlanc et de feue Geneviève martin.
Elle laisse dans le deuil deux belles-filles : Henriette Goguen, avec qui elle demeurait à Cocagne, et Bernadette (Hervé Légère) de Bouctouche, une soeur, Emma Bourque de Cocagne, ainsi que sept petits-enfants, neuf arrière-petits-enfants et un arrière-arrière-petit-enfant.
Deux soeurs l’ont précédée dans la tombe, Lisa et Locade.
La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la salle mortuaire de l’église Saint-Pierre de Cocagne. Les funérailles auront lieu le mardi 5 mars à 19h en l’église Saint-Pierre de Cocagne. L’inhumation aura lieu au printemps au cimetière de l’endroit.
La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison funéraire Maillet de Bouctouche.

Sylvain Brideau
Subitement à Saumarez, le 24 janvier, à l'âge de 77 ans, est décédé M. Sylvain Brideau, époux de feue Charlotte Légère, domicilié à St-Pons. Il était fils de feu Sylvain Brideau et de feue Céline Roussel.
Il laisse dans le deuil deux filles: Mme Guy Paulin (Elizabeth) de Saumarez où il demeurait, Mme Stanley Leclerc (Alma) de Leech; cinq fils: Euchariste, Eric et Isaïe Saumarez, Alyre de Leech et Omer d'Edmundston ainsi que 19 petits-enfants.
M. Brideau était le dernier survivant de sa famille.
La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée au Salon funéraire Robichaud de Tracadie d'où le convoi funèbre partira dimanche à 13h35 pour se rendre en l'église Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette de Sheila où le service sera chanté à 14h00 avec inhumation au printemps au cimetière de l'endroit.
La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison funéraire Robichaud de Tracadie.
À l'Hôpital de Moncton, le mardi 5 mars 1991, à l'âge de 94 ans, est décédée Anne Cormier, épouse de Alyre Cormier, domiciliée au Foyer Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur, mais autrefois de Saint-Paul de Kent. Elle était fille de feu Henri Cormier et de feue Émilie Léger.
Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil dix filles: Azemia, Bernadette et Yolande Cormier, toutes de Moncton, Edmée (Francis LeBlanc), et Dorice (Éric Breau), toutes deux de Dieppe, Marie (Alfred LeBlanc) de Saint-Anselme, Sr Zella Cormier, ndsc de Grand-Sault, Thérèse et Jeannine Cormier, toutes deux de Montréal, et Claudette (Henri Lassard) de Sherbrooke, Qué., deux belles-filles: Anise (Éric Belliveau) de Saint-Anselme, et Lorraine (Alphonse LeBlanc) de Fox Creek, deux fils: Émerie de Moncton, et Émilie de Lakeburn, deux frères: Alfred et Aldéric (Éric), tous deux de Gardner, Mass., ainsi que 30 petits-enfants et 44 arrière-petits-enfants.
Un beau-fils, trois soeurs et cinq frères: Ulysse Cormier, Edmire, Élise, Azemia, Magloire, Hector, Émile, Alyre et Edmond l'ont précédé dans la tombe.
La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Chartersville de Dieppe d'où le convoi funèbre partira le samedi 9 mars à 9h45 pour se rendre en l'église Sainte-Thérèse de l'Enfant Jésus de Dieppe où le service sera chanté à 10h. L'inhumation aura lieu au printemps au cimetière Notre-Dame du Calvaire de Dieppe.
M. Alfred J. Cormier
M. Alfred (Fred) Joseph Cormier, de Toronto, est décédé le dimanche 26 juillet au St-Joseph Health Centre, à Toronto, à l'âge de 65 ans.
Né à Moncton, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, née Dorilla LeBlanc; un fils, Donald, d'Ottawa; deux frères: Ernest, de Moncton et Gérald, de Toronto; cinq soeurs: Mme Alma LeBlanc, Mme Eva Arsenault, Mme Edna Léger, Mme Irène Magee et Mme Rita Collette, toutes de Moncton.
La dépouille mortelle est exposée à la chapelle du salon funéraire WIngnall, 62, avenue Long Beach, Etobicoke, où les funérailles auront lieu jeudi à 10h.
