    Roméo Cormier, 82, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, December 27, 2007. Born May 24, 1925 in Worcester, Mass., he was the son of the late Alphonse and Claudia (Richard) Cormier. He was also predeceased by his adoptive mother, Ida Landry. Mr. Cormier was a fisherman and a carpenter. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Yvonne (Léger) Cormier; six children, Claudia Léger (Léandre), Denise Richard (Zoël), and Victor Cormier (Sandra) all of Petit-Cap, Gisèle Richard (Donald) of Ste- Anne-de-Kent, Jeannine Léger (Ovide) of Trois-Ruisseaux, and Debbie LeBlanc (Ricky) of Haute-Aboujagane; nine grand children, Tracy, Wendy, Victor, Karine, Mario, Mathieu, Ashley, Zoé and Randy; five great grandchildren, Jessy, Alexis, Haley, Randy and Danté; one brother, Néri Cormier (Dora) of Larry River, N.S.; one sister Adlessa McLean of Cap-Pelé; several foster brothers and sisters, Louis, Simonne, Généva, Roger. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 Rte La Vallée, Memramcook on Friday December 21 from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday December 22 from 9:30 to 10:30 am.     Jeannette LeBlanc passed away Friday morning, December 14th at the Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston after a long illness. She was 68. Born on May 24, 1939 in Dorchester, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Ozelie (Leger) LeBlanc. She has been a Waltham resident for over 40 years. A retired registered nurse, Ms. LeBlanc had been employed with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford. She had graduated nursing school at the now George Dumont Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick. Ms. LeBlanc is survived by her sister, Carmel and her husband, Richard Ahern of Ashland and her brothers, Leo LeBlanc of Waltham, Dolan and his wife, Doris LeBlanc of Bathurst, NB and Raymond and his wife, Audrey LeBlanc of Bowmanville, ON. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. from the Brasco and Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, Trapelo Road, Waltham, at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date in New Brunswick. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Jeannette's memory to the American Lung Association, 25 Spring Street, Walpole MA 02081.

    Marguerite Thibodeau 1915-2007-
    Marguerite Thibodeau, 92, passed away at the Villa Providence, Shediac on Monday, December 17, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Ephrem V. and Rose-Anna (Landry) Léger. She worked at Princess Food Ltd. in Shediac for many years. She is survived by four daughters, Doris Boucher (Aquilla) and Camilla Gilbert (James) all of Fitchburg, Mass., Alvetta Richard (Ron LeBlanc) of Shediac, Rachelle Landry (Francis E.) of Westminster, Mass.; two sons, Raymond (Adrienne) of Gardner, Mass., and Ronald of Grand-Barachois; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a daughter-in-law, Joanne LeBlanc-Thibodeau of Iles-de-la-Madeleine; and by several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband Camille W. Thibodeau; and by three sisters and three brothers, Vitaline, Florida, Alma, Alban, Edgar, and Alexandre. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:10 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2007 at Saint-Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of N.B. would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
