BOUCTOUCHE, NB - Florence LeBlanc, wife of Alyre LeBlanc, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Bouctouche Bay passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Manior Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche, NB after a brief illness. Born in Saint-Paul de Kent, NB on December 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Pierre LeBlanc and the late Léona Doucet. Florence was a housewife, attended Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche and she was a member of Bouctouche Golden Age Club. She is survived by her husband Alyre LeBlanc; one son, Paul (Jeannette) of Bouctouche; one adopted son, Hervé Mills (Francine) of Sainte-Anne de Kent; six sisters, Hèléne Cormier of Toronto, Louise Roy of Bouctouche, Rita Léger of Moncton, Lorette Ahirn (Charles) of Rothesay, Noella Gautreau (Léo-Paul) of Hartford, Conn., Marie Cormier (Conrad) of Dieppe; two brothers, Ernest (Edith) of Saint-Paul and John of Hartford, Conn; four grandchildren, Louis, Léon, Denis, and Rachelle; six great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one sister, Sr. Eveline ndsc; two brothers, Eric and George. Resting a Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouchewith visitating hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Wednesday from 1 to 2:45 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 3:00 pm. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.

MARYSVILLE (KS) -- Graveside services will be at 10am today at the
Marysville City Cemetery for Frederick 'Joe' LEGER, 88, formerly of
Marysville. He died Wednesday, Nov 24, 1999, at a Platte City MO
nursing home. Mr Leger worked in construction until he retired in the
early 1980s. He served in the Army during World War II in the African,
European and Pacific theaters.
He was born Feb 28, 1911, in Old Town Maine, the son of Ambrose and Emma
VIOLETTE LEGER. He moved to Marysville in 1944 and lived with Jim and
Angie YOUNG. He moved to St Joseph MO in 1997. Mr Leger was a member
of St Gregory Catholic Church in Marysville, and the American Legion
Post in Marysville.
Survivors include a nephew, Morton LEGER, St Joseph MO. The Marysville
Post of the American Legion will conduct military honors at the
graveside. Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville is in charge of arrangements.

He was formerly employed at Mount Saint Vincent University and later at Garden View Restaurant for over 30 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Diane Labadie; sister, Evelyn Van Dyke, Phoenix, Ariz. He was predeceased by brothers, Alfred A., Pieus. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax. Funeral 12 noon Friday in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Ronald Cairns officiating. Cremation to follow. Burial at a later date in St. Charles Cemetery, Amherst.

Alfred (Alphie) Anthony Legere, 81, 4 Prince Arthur St., Amherst, died Monday in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Thaddie and Edith (Martin Pineau) Legere. He was a member of St. Charles Roman Catholic Church and Royal Canadian Legion, Amherst branch No. 10. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He is survived by a sister, Evelyn, Arizona; a brother, Vincent, Halifax. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marjorie Carver; a brother Pieus. The body will be in Furlong's Funeral home, where visiting will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church and CWL in Joggins. She was an employee of Stafford Foods, Toronto, for over 15 years. She returned to Joggins in 1979. Surviving are sisters, Helen Mills, Niagara Falls, Ont.; Freda Jewers, Joggins; brothers, Joe, Amos, Joggins; Lester, Mississauga, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Dennie; brothers, Charlie, Alphie, Robert, Basil. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m., parish prayers 8 p.m., both today in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Edward (Eddie) Landry MEMRAMCOOK, NB - Edward (Eddie) Landry of Residence l'Aboiteau (formerly of College Bridge) passed away at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday March 1, 2006 at the age of 96. Born in College Bridge, he was the son of the late Philomon Landry and the late Eleonore Bourque. He is survived by three daughters, Joanne (late Donald) Trigg of College Bridge, Paulette Arsenault of Taylor Village and Joyce (Ken) Gilbert of Hammonds Plain, NS; one son, Charles (Patricia) Landry of College Bridge; one sister, Eliza (late Leopold) Leger of Dieppe; two grandchildren, Phillip (Christine) Arsenault and Julie Landry; three great grandchildren, Zoe, Napoleon, Alexandra and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Louise (2003); three sisters, Evangeline, Anita and Eveline and by four brothers, Abbey, Raymond, Marc and Arthur. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Friday, March 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, March 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Armand Fougère
SHEDIAC - Armand Fougère, 76, of Main Street, Shediac and formerly of Kitchener, Ont., passed away on Monday, October 28, 1996 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on Shediac Island, he was the son of the late Jude and Marie (Clements) Fougère. He was employed with K.C.I. School, Kitchener, Ont. before his retirement. A Veteran of the Second World War, having serviced with the Canadian Army overseas for years in England, Labrador, Nova Seotia, New Brunswick. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legions in Kitchener, Ont., Cap Pelé and Branch #33, Shediac.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Archangéla (Léger) Fougère; two daughters, Armanda Bourque (Emery), Emily LeBlanc (Edward); three sons, Roland (Rachel), Paul and Jacques all of Kitchener, Ont.; two sisters, Stella Fagan of Montreal, Que., Elodie Fannigan of Rochesville; two brothers, Howard (Doris) of Point-du-Chêne, Jude (Geneviève) of Shediac Bridge; nine grandchildren, Debbie, Thérèse, Sheila, Chantelle, Jessie, Daniel Shane, Dale, Cory. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Florida; one half-sister, Annie Petitpas; four brothers, Vital, Alyre, Edward, Robert; three half-brothers, George, Willie, Benjamin Petitpas.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 248 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visiting hours on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 fo 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac, on Wednesday, October 30, 1996 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery.

Michel Léger
M. Michel Léger, âgé de 15 ans, de Haute-Aboujagane, N.-B. a perdu la vie dans un accident de chasse, près de chez lui, le 16 novembre.
Il était le fils de M. et Mme Ubald Léger (Huberte Richard), respectivement originaire de Barachois et de Cap-Pelé. Il était étudiant à l'école polyvalente Louis-J. Robichaud, à Shédiac. Il faisait partie de la paroisse Saint-Henri-du-Barachois.
Outre ses parents, il laisse dans le deuil ses grands-parents partenels et maternels: M et Mme Vital Léger et M. Mme Oswald Richard ainsi qu'un frère: Daniel à la maison.
La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon funéraire Frenette, à Shédiac. Les visites sont de 14 à 16 heures, puis de 19 à 21 heures. Les funérailles auront lieu samedi, à 11h00, avec service funèbre en l'églie Saint-Henri du Barachois et inhumation dans le cimetière paroissial.

Mrs. Bernice "Beeb" Cormier, 45, of Tower Drive, Dieppe, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Monday, October 21, 1996, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of Stella (LeBlanc) Léger and the late Léandre Léger. A housewife, who was a caregiver to children in her home, she attended Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lakeburn.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles Cormier; one daughter, Tammy at home; four sisters, Jeannine LeBlanc (Paul), Murielle Arsenault (Dave) and Cécile Haché (Gilbert), all of Moncton and Claudette Léger of Dieppe; five brothers, Normand, Maurice, Roger and Roland (Stella) ail of Moncton and Henri (Linda) of Riverview; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Resitng at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton, with visiting hours on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 24, 1996, at 10 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, Parkton, with Reverand Robert Allain officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe.

He had been a school teacher and counsellor with the Department of Indian Affairs until retirement. He is survived by his wife, the former Jeannine Leger; five sons, Vincent of College Bridge, Jules of Orleans, Ont., Jean of Fox Creek, Robert of Quispamsis and Andre of Moncton; a brother, Joachim of Richibucto; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lise; a brother, Martin, and three sisters, Geraldine, Marianne and Cecile. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 4 p.m at Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Louis de Gonzague roman Catholic Cemetery. Richibucto. Bordage; two sons, Denis of Montreal and Jean at home; a daughter, Chantal at home; three sisters, Eva of Lindsay, Ont., Mrs. Aurele (Florence) Daigle of Ottawa and Mrs. Ronald (Marie) Cormier of Bouctouche; three brothers, Leo, Noel and Gerard, all of Little Aldouane; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Paul died in June, 1985. Funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday at Church of the Assumption. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Saint John West.

86, Gables Lodge, Amherst, died November 8, 1995, in Highland View Regional Hospital. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Albenie and Mary Jane (Jenny) (Bourque) LeBlanc. A lifelong resident of Amherst, she was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Church and a charter member and first president of the CWL in that parish. Surviving are a son, Gerald, Moncton; daughter, Jacqueline (Mrs. Bert Nichaus), Vernon, B.C.; sisters, Eva Gillis, Sanford, Maine; Edna Ollerton, Halifax; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Valerie; sister, Bella LeBlanc; brother, Adolph, Leo, Albert, Alvery, Thomas; granddaughter, Phyllis Ann Legere. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral 1 p.m. Saturday in Nativity of Our Lady Church, Rev. Gilles LeBlanc officiating. Burial in St. Charles Nativity Cemetery. Donations to any charity.

SAINT-ANTOINE, NB - Yvonne Léger, 78, wife of Laurie Léger, of Saint-Antoine, NB passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Friday, April 1, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in St.-Antoine, NB on January 4, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Camille William and Exelda Boudreau. She was a housewife and attended Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine, NB. She is survived by husband, Laurie Léger; one adopted daughter, Laura Hébert of Ottawa; two sons, Raoul (Marie-Anne), Rhéal (Aurainna), both of Saint-Antoine; five grandchildren, Renée, Chantal, Parise, Julien, Caroline; one great grandchild, Kayla; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one brother, Albéo. Resting at Saint-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine de Kent, with visitation on Tuesday, April 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:45 am. The Funeral Service will be held at St-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine de Kent on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 10:00 am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. She is survived by sons, Ernest Jr.and wife Sue, Barrie, Ont.; David and wife Martha, Peterborough, Ont.; brothers, Jim, Bathurst, N.B.; Joe, Oakville, Ont.; granddaughter, Michelle Comeau, Toronto, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest; infant son, Donald; sisters, Genevieve in infancy, Marjorie LeBlanc; brothers, Basil, Austin. Her remains are resting at Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst, with visiting hours today (Thursday) from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home this afternoon at 3:45 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, Joggins, on Friday at 10 a.m., with Rev. J.B. Christensen officiating. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery, Minudie.

LANDRY, Rev. Bernard J. -
63, Halifax, died October 24, 1992, in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Charles and Anna (Cormier) Landry. He was ordained to the priesthood in Halifax on March 18, 1965. His first appointment to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Joggins, began 36 years of priestly ministry as assistant priest and pastor in a number of parishes in the Archdiocese of Halifax. Other parishes he served at included, St. Charles and Nativity of Our Lady, Amherst; St. Anselm, West Chezzecook; St. Mary's Basilica, St. Lawrence, St. Patrick, St. Stephen, St. John the Baptist and St. Agnes, all in Halifax, where he was appointed pastor in July of this year. He was on loan to the Diocese of Yarmouth from 1970-1974, where he served at St. Joseph Parish, Kentville and St. Louis Parish, Annapolis Royal. He served on a number of diocesan committees and commissions. Among these were the Diocesan Pastoral Council, Council of Priests and the Ecumenical Commission. He was also dean of the Halifax West Deanery and a consultor of the Archdiocese of Halifax. He was the spiritual director of the Halifax Diocesan Council of the Catholic Women's League. While in Amherst, he served as chaplain at the Atlantic Provinces Resource Centre for the Hearing Impaired, a service he continued following his return to Halifax. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Rayworth, Amherst; Mrs. Hazel Legere, Oromocto, N.B.; a nephew; two nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence; two sisters, Alice, Helen. The body will be in St. Agnes Rectory, Mumford Road, Halifax after 3 p.m. today. The Office of the Dead will be 8 p.m. today in St. Agnes Church. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Agnes Church, Archbishop Austin E. Burke officiating. The body will be transferred to St. Charles Parish, Amherst, where funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in parish cemetery.

65, of 20 Morris Street, Springhill, will be buried today following funeral service in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with Rev. Arthur Alexander officiating. She died Tuesday at her home. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. McNiel. Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons, James and Francis, both in Springhill; Jack and Leo, both in Toronto; Douglas, Picton, Ont.; four sisters, Bona (Mrs. Raymond Noiles), Effie (Mrs. Albert Ellis), Rhoda (Mrs. Robert Ryan), all of Springhill; Kathleen (Mrs. Eldon MacKenzie) Toronto; two brother, Allan, Springhill and Roddie, Manitoba. Committal service will be held in Amherst Cemetery recieving vault with burial in North Street Cemetery, Springhill, later in the Spring.
