Informations biographiques
Il s’installa sur la pointe des Boudrot à Arichat-Ouest, où il était marin et propriétaire de navire. Michel décéda entre 1832 et 1839. Selon une tradition racontée par Bernard Pâté à Placide Gaudet (CEA 1.66-18), Michel et son épouse furent inhumés dans l'église d'Arichat, à couse des dons qu'ils avaient faits.1

Michel semble avoir échappé à l’expulsion de l’lle Royale de 1758, quand ses parents, frères et soeurs furent tous envoyés en France. Il demeura pendant plusieurs années à L’Ardoise, où l’abbé Bailly réhabilita son mariage, le 3 octobre 1771, et baptisa ses cinq premiers enfants. Plus tard nous le retrouvons à Petit-de-Grat, où demeure encore une foule de ses descendants.1

Surnommé Caniche, Simon Fougère s’installa à Rivière-Bourgeois à côté de la famille de sa première épouse. Il se fit pêcheur. Il décéda à Rivière-Bourgeois, le 24 juin 1843. Il est l’ancêtre des Fougère de Rivière-Bourgeois et de quelques-uns de Poulamond.1

Informations biographiques
Enfant unique, Pierre Babin fut transporté au Massachusetts avec ses père et mère en 1755. Après environ huit années, surtout à Braintree, les Babin revinrent en Acadie. Pierre se dévoua à la vie maritime, montant enfin au rang de capitaine de navire. Il était parmi les premiers marguilliers d’Arichat en 1803. Du fait qu’il fut choisi et peu après remplacé comme exécuteur testamentaire de René Thériot (no 1), nous savons qu’il décéda peu avant le 16 juillet 1806. Avant sa mort il avait fait application pour une concession de terre; cette terre que sa veuve obtint éventuellement porte encore le nom de la Butte-des-Babin.1

Charles et son épouse allèrent se fixer à Havre-Boucher, où il fut tecensé en tant que payeur de taxes en 1794. La plupart de leurs enfants demeuraient à Havre-Boucher, à l’exception de trois filles qui épousèrent des hommes de l’île Madame.1
