SAINTE-MARIE-DE-KENT – À l’Hôpital régional Dr Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le lundi 15 novembre 2004, à l’âge de 77 ans, est décédée Viana Landry, épouse de feu Rodolph Landry (1999), domiciliée à Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Née à Saint-Norbert-de-Kent le 5 août 1927, elle était fille de feu Albert Richard et de feu Marie-Rose Maillet. Elle laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Francine Warman (George) de Riverview, Norma LeBlanc (Gerald) de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent et Maria Landry (Robert Léger) de Cap-Pelé; quatre fils: Roger (Elise) de Bouctouche, André (Géraldine Arsenault) de Moncton, Ronald (Eugenie) de Toronto, Ont. et Paul (Darlene) de Waltham, Mass.; deux soeurs: Lucie Innes (Bill) de London, Ont. et Florine Albert (Emile) de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent; quatre frères: Alphée (Thérèse) et Gerard (Janice), tous deux de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Antoine (Louise) de Saint-Norbert-de-Kent et Aldéric (Pauline) de Shediac Bridge, ainsi que neuf petits-enfants et plusieurs neveux et nièces. Une fille, Linda; trois soeurs: Yvonne, Lina et Aurelda, ainsi que trois frères: Willie, Gilbert et Paul, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Mme Landry était membre du Club de l’âge d’or de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 19h, le mardi 16 novembre, à la salle mortuaire de l’église de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, le mercredi 17 novembre, à 19h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière de Saint-Norbert-de-Kent. Heures de visites: le mardi 16 novembre, de 19h à 21h et le mercredi 17 novembre, de 14h à 16h et de 17h30 à 18h45. La direction des funérailles a été confiée aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire Maillet de Bouctouche.

À l'Hôpital Général d'Oshawa, le dimanche 30 juin 1991, à l'âge de 60 ans, est décédé Hermel Albert époux de Marie-Alice Tueaph, domicilié à Oshawa. Il était fils de feu Fitger Albert et de Emma Légère.
Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil son père adoptif, Fred Richardson de Saint Sauveur, une fille, Pauline Albert d'Oshawa, deux fils: Farly et Steven, tous deux d'Oshawa, quatre soeurs; Rita (Antoine Jean) de Bas-Caraquet, Mérilda (Rolland Murray), et Jeanne d'Arc (Normand Lépine), toutes deux de Chicoutimi, et Aldéa (Antoine Dugas) d'Allardville, sept frères, Nicholas de Scarborough, Valmond de Dalhousie, Adilas d'Oshawa, Alphonse de Shédiac, Réjean de Sainte-Marie-deKent, Yvon de Chicoutimi, et Hylarion (Pit) de Windsor, Ont.
La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Anderson d'Oshawa. Les funérailes auront lieu le jeudi 4 juillet à 11h en l'église Sainte-Gertrude d'Oshawa. L'inhumation aura lieu au cimetière des Chrétiens de l'endroit.

ROGERSVILLE, NB - Marie Maillet, 87, of Foyer L'Assomption, Rogersville and formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Noinville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alex and the late Josephine (née: Gaudet) Hebert. She is survived by three daughters, Rita (Yvon) Duclos and Yolande Haché, both of Rogersville and Sadie Maillet of Moncton; two sons, Yvon (Germaine) Maillet of Dieppe and Raymond Richard of Rogersville; two sisters, Eva (late Camille) Leger of Dieppe and Emma (Eddie) Martin of Rogersville; several grandchildren, many great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Adolphe in 2001; one sister, Dora and also by three brothers, Francois, Alexandre and Alyre. Visitation will be held from the Rogersville Funeral Salon on Monday, September 5, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm, Tuesday, September 6, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm and also on Wednesday from 9am until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St-Francois-de-Sales Roman Catholic Church, Rogersville, NB, on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 10am. Interment in Parish Cemetery, Rogersville, NB. 65, Pinkneys Point, Yarmouth Co., passsed away January 18, 1999, in Pinkneys Point. Born in Pinkneys Point, he was a son of Adele Saulnier and the late Enos Joseph Saulnier. He was retired from the Toronto Transit Commision after 35 years of service. He belonged to the Senior Citizens Club of Pinkneys Point and the Wharf Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Wendy Edgeworth; son, John and companion Lindsay Zahn, Toronto; daughters, Jennifer (Mrs. Bill Minicuci), Toronto; Julie Saulnier-Stevenson, Pinkneys Point; brothers, Clifford, Brampton, Ont.; Elize, Melbourne, Yarmouth Co.; sisters, Geraldine (Mrs. Gilbert Pothier), Ruth (Mrs. Victor Doucette), Florence (Mrs. Leroy Legere), all of Pinkneys Point. Loving grandfather of Ryan and Jordan Stevenson; Kyle and Nicolas Minicuci. He was predeceased by son, Michael. Remains are resting at Huskilson's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, with visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral mass will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from St. Raphael's Church, Pinkneys Point, Rev. Gerald Leblanc officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations to the St. Raphael's Cemetery fund.

CUMMINGS, Barbara Brigid -
74, Halifax, died in the VG Site, QEII, on December 1, 1998, after a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Martin) Cummings. She received her early education at Mount St. Vincent University and had a lifelong interest in music. She studied voice and piano in the Halifax Conservatory of Music and later music education at Dalhousie University. Before her retirement, she held several positions in Montreal and Halifax, including positions with CNR, Workmen's Compensation Board of Nova Scotia and several federal government departments. She was active in various parish activities at St. Mary's Basilica including St. Vincent de Paul Society. She is survived by sisters, Margaret Legere, Joan Cummings, both of Halifax; Ruth Sinnema and husband Luc, Calgary; brother, Donald, Halifax. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home, 2032 Robie St. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Basilica. He was employed for 43 years with the Town of Glace Bay street department, retiring as street superintendent in 1982. He was an adherent of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Glace Bay.
