    On a longtemps cru que Marie COMEAU épouse de Honoré SAVOIE était la fille de Joseph COMEAU dit Grandjean et de Marie ROY dit Laliberté. C'est Stephen White qui avançait cela, en se basant sur quelques preuves circonstancielles:

    1. À la sépulture de Anastasie LEVRON ( Marguerite Grandjean) le petit-fils de Marie, Isaïe BOUCHER, est décrit comme cousin de la défunte. Déjà, il est au mieux «remué de germain» (2-3) et non cousin propre. Dans les faits, il semblerait qu'il était un peu plus éloigné, soit 3-4. Cette «proximité» exige encore une dispense, donc ça reste un «cousin» au sens large, mais pas aussi près qu'on pourrait l’entendre ici. Mais pas cousin germain (dit «propre», ou 2-2) dans aucun cas.

    2. Marie ROY, habitante de Chipoudy, est marraine de François SAVOIE fils de Marie COMEAU à Beaubassin en 1741. D'accord, les parrains et marraines sont souvent tirés de la parenté, mais ce n'est pas une règle, loin de là. Ça semble relever du hasard ici.

    On se doutait depuis un bon moment que Marie n'était pas la fille de Joseph, depuis le test d'une descendante matrilinéaire directe. Selon White, «Anne-»Marie COMEAU devrait descendre de l'autochtone Marie AUBOIS, mais les résultats du test indiquent plutôt qu'elle est une descendante de Barbe BAJOLET (haplogroupe X2b7b). Marcelle Comeau (merci!) qui avait travaillé le dossier, était restée bloquée devant cette incertitude. Car il y avait effectivement plus d'une voie possible chez les filles Comeau de son temps pour remonter BAJOLET.

    Cette semaine, FTDNA procédait finalement au raffinement des haplogroupes mitochondriaux. J'avais déjà prédit que X2b7b1 représenterait Marguerite MICHEL (m René Martin) et sa descendance matrilinéaire, comme le proposait d'ailleurs la dernière version de mon tableau. Mais ma surprise, FTDNA propose un second haplogroupe en aval de BAJOLET, j'ai nommé X2b7b2. Nous avions effectivement trois échantillons avec cette signature dans le projet Mères d'Acadie (Mothers of Acadia), dont la descendante de Marie COMEAU. Mais je n’avais encore aucune des lignées en main. Heureusement, Lucie LeBlanc Consentino a pu rapidement me les repêcher. (Merci!)

    Après vérification, et dans un scénario idéal, les deux premiers échantillons permettent de trianguler la nouvelle signature précisément Marguerite PITRE (n v1689), épouse de ... Abraham COMEAU. On sait que ça vient d'elle, comme ses sœurs Marie et Catherine Pitre n'ont pas hérité de la mutation qui définit la signature X2b7b2.

    Comme Marie COMEAU est née dans les années 1710 et que la mutation définissant X2b7b2 est apparue chez Marguerite PITRE à sa conception vers 1689, il faut forcément que Marie soit la fille de Abraham COMEAU & Marguerite PITRE.

    MARIE ou ANNE-MARIE?

    Marie COMEAU n'est nommée qu'une seule fois «Anne Marie» (1740 Rg Beaubassin), l'occasion du baptême de sa fille «Anne Marie». Comme est elle nommée partout ailleurs simplement Marie, cela semble une transposition du nom de l'enfant par le prêtre officiant. En amalgamant Marie «Anne-Marie» fille de Joseph, ce nom est resté dans les arbres et publications, mais il est alors mal représenté à mon avis.

    PAS D'AMÉRINDIENNE

    Ceux qui croyaient avoir une ascendance autochtone en passant par Marie Comeau devront revoir leur généalogie, comme aucune autochtone n'est connue dans son ascendance. Voir la «nouvelle» ascendance de Marie dans l’image jointe. Cliquer le lien ci-dessous pour visionner le grand tableau en PDF web. Il n'est ici que comme aperçu quoiqu'encore lisible. Les deux haplogroupes en aval de Barbe Bajolet sont donc parfaitement triangulés à la source même de la mutation. C'est une situation assez exceptionnelle. Sur le tableau, la descendance X2b7b1 est coloré en vert et la descendance X2b7b2 est en bleu.

    NOUVEAU TABLEAU

    À travers tout ceci, j’ai donc mis à jour le tableau de Barbe BAJOLET sur mon site. Avec deux nouveaux participants et ces trois lignées récupérées, le tableau passe de 8 à 13 pattes, comprenant 14 échantillons (dont un duo mère-fils). Le tableau a aussi été largement augmenté avec les dates de naissances et mariages qui manquaient toujours, dans la mesure du possible.
