H. J. LeBlanc NORANDA, Que. (Special) -
The death of Hector J. LeBlanc, 56, of Noranda, Que., occurred, at Noranda Hospital after an illness of several months. Born in Memramcook he was, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack F. LeBlanc and received his education at St. Joseph's University and Success Business College in Moncton, after which he was employed for a time at the Provincial Bank in Moncton. He later joined the RCMP and received his training in Rockcliffe, Ontario, he was Chief of Police there for eight years. Mr. LeBlanc was a representative of the London Life Insurance Co. and served as district manager of the Noranda branch until his illness. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a former Grand Knight of the Noranda Council. He is survived by his wife Theresa, two daughters, Denise and Louise at home, two sons, Normand of the RCMP staff at Quifford, Que., and Michel undergoing his training at the RCMP headquarters in Regina, Saskatchewan. He is also survived by six sisters; Mrs. Edmond LeBlanc (Mary) of Lynn, Mass., Mrs. Antoine Leger (Dorilla) of Moncton, Mrs. Jude Leger (Eleonore) of Legerville, Mrs. Ralph Faulkner (Wilma) of Dartmouth, Mrs. William Fraser (Laurianne) of Amherst and Miss Evangeline LeBlanc of Memramcook; three brothers, Adrian of Dorchester, Yvon of Belmont, Mass., and Leo Paul of Lynn, Mass. The largely attended funeral mass was celebrated by the pastor of the Noranda Roman Catholic Church with interment in the parish cemetery. Relatives attended from Moncton, Belmont and Lynn, Mass.
