Edouard LeBlanc, 99, of Villa du Repos, Moncton, and formerly of Robinson Street, died Saturday at the home after a lengthy illness. Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late Calixte and Clautine (Leger) LeBlanc. He had been employed for 30 years as a store keeper with Canadian National, had worked as bartender at a Moncton club and attended the Assumption Cathedral. He was also a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Roy D. MacDonald Assembly. He is survived by his wife, the former Lea Drisdelle; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Peters of Scoudouc, Mrs. Beatrice Savoie of Montreal and Mrs. Gerry LaPlante (Marguerite) of Plymouth, Indiana; eight sons, Emery of Montreal, Leandre of Ste Foy, Que., Arcade of Hull, Que., Ernest of St. Jean d'Iberville, Que., Eugene of Bagetville, Que., Camille, Raymond and Donald LeBlanc, all of Moncton; 36 grandchildren, and by 18 great grandchildren. The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Moncton. Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. today from the Assumption Cathedral. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shediac.
