Ledger-Griffin
A wedding of local interest took place Saturday, July 2nd at Lenoxdale, when Miss Dorothy B. Griffin of 202 Beaver Street, this city, daughter of Fred R. Griffin of Williamstown, became the bride of Oliver J. Ledger, son of Mrs. Albert Ledger of 317 Beaver Street, this city, with Rev. Lee Ashton of Lenoxdale officiating.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Ellsworth Griffin, wore a gown of powder blue raffeia with hat and mitts to match. She carried an arm bouquet of pink sweet peas and baby's breath. The bridesmaid, Miss Geraldine Buckley, wore a gown of pink satin with accessories to match and carried an arm bouquet of lavender sweet peas and baby's breath. The bridegroom was attended by Benjamin F. Griffin, brother of the bride.
A luncheon was served to the bridal party at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Charles Dennis of Lenoxdale.
The bride's gift to the bridesmaid was a clouded crystal pendant while the bridegroom's gift to the best man was a gold piece.
Mr. and Mrs. Ledger are employed by the Sprague Specialties company of this city. After a wedding trip of unannounced destination, Mr. and Mrs. Ledger will be at home at 11 Union street, where a newly furnished home awaits them.
