Leo Gould AMHERST (Special) -
The death of Leo Gould occurred recently at his residence 32 Albion Street, Amherst. He was 67. He was born in Shemogue, the son of the late Thaddy and Dina (Legere) Gould. He was a member of the St. Charles Roman Catholic Church and of the Assomption Society for 25 years. He was a vice president of the Credit Union until his retirement two years ago. He was a steel worker foe 18 years at Robb Engineering. He is survived by his wife the former Lea Jacob of Little Cape; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas Kyte (Yvette) of Belledune; Mrs. Robert Hoyer (Pauline); Mas. Gary Lewis (Eileen), both of Kitimat, B.C., and Lea Lynn, at home; one son, Ivan of Amherst; four sisters, Mrs. Aurele Vienneau (Ella May) of Dupuis Corner, Mrs. Henri St. Pierre (Jeanne Eva), Mrs. Vincent Brine (Minnie), Mrs. Anita Belliveau; a brother, Aimee, all of Shemogue; and 11 grandchildren. The funeral was held from the St. Charles Roman Catholic Church in Amherst. Pallbearers were Frank Cormier, Gerard Landry, Raymond Legere, Ronald Legere, Felton Bass, and Frank Arsenault. The body was taken to Shemogue where a funeral service and burial were held at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church conducted by Rev. Fred Cormier. Pallbearers were Laurent Jacob, Philip Jacob, Adolphe Jacob, Leo Jacob, Emile Jacob and Andre Jacob.
