Aurele Nowlan, 67, died Monday at Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne-de-Kent, following a lengthy illness. Born in Ste. Anne-de-Kent, he was the son of the late John and Justine (Richard) Nowlan He attended St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Buctouche. He was a mechanic. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorice Bourgeois; four sons, Jacques, Jean-Charles and Claude, all of Buctouche, and Donald, St. Anthony; four daughters, Mrs. William Sulton (Aurella), Alyre, Mass., Mrs. Andre Leger (Annette), Buctouche, Mrs. Euclide Cormier (Marie-Reine), St. Paul-de-Kent and Gisele, Calgary, Alta.; six brothers, Lionel, Aldorie and Arthur, all of Moncton, Gerard and Arsene, both of Montreal and Romeo, Bathurst; one sister, Mrs. Claude Deroy (Germaine), Montreal; and 10 grandchildren. The body is at Maillet's Funeral Home, Buctouche. Funeral mass will be celebrated 4 p.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Buctouche. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
