Death Mrs. A. Despres -
The death of Mrs. Suzanne Despres, widow of Albert Despres of Moncton, and formerly of Cocagne occurred Saturday in Providence St. Joseph Nursing Home, Shediac Following a lengthy illness. She was 94. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late William and Eliza (Cripps) Downing. She attended St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church. Her husband died in 1948. Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Betty Handke of Florida, Mrs. Evelyn Leger of Montreal, Mrs. Francis Lavoie (Margaret) and Mrs. Alcide Demers (Frances), both of Gardner, Mass., Mrs. Cora Evans of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Helen Bonnie of California, and Mrs. Walter Schella (Viola) and Mrs. Alfred (Babe) LeBlanc (Germain), both of Moncton; two sons, George of Moncton, and Leonard of Montreal, Que.; one sister, Mrs. Charles Bateman of Saskatchewan; 31 grandchildren; and 53 great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Moncton with funeral service to be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in Cocagne Roman Catholic cemetery.
