Gertrude Gagne
FITCHBURG -- Gertrude “Aunt Gert” L. Gagne, 89, died Friday, July 7, peacefully in her sleep at the Highlands Life Center in Fitchburg.
Miss Gagne was born on June 24, 1917, in Lowell, a daughter of Arthur and Laura (Rufiange) Gagne, living most of her life in Fitchburg.
Miss Gagne was a stitcher for over 40 years, being employed at the former H. Margolin Company in Fitchburg.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg.
Miss Gagne is survived by two sisters, Jacqueline Caissey of Fitchburg and Yvette Leger of Fitchburg; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Miss Gagne was the sister of the late Armand Gagne, Rene Gagne, Henrietta Allen, Claire Miller.
GAGNE -- On July 7, Gertrude “Aunt Gert” L. Gagne, 89, of Fitchburg. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 11 at St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation period will be held from 9-10 a.m. the morning of the funeral, Tuesday, at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg.
