Doris Gionet
ORANGE CITY, Fla. -- Doris Roseanna (Champagne) Gionet, 78, longtime resident of Leominster, Mass., died Friday, March 3, in Florida.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1927, in Leominster, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Tourigny) Champagne.
Mrs. Gionet worked for several years at the former Carrington Greeting Card Company in Leominster.
She leaves four daughters, Sandra Bresnahan and her husband John of Orange City, Fla., Nancy Hall and her husband John of Leominster, Susan Gionet of Orange City, Fla., and Norma Godek and her husband John of Fitchburg, Mass.; one sister, Lorraine Sanders of Wallingford, Conn.; three grandchildren, Hidee Caissie of New Ipswich, N.H., and Jackie and Danny Hall of Leominster; and two great-grandchildren, Joe and Christina DiCostanzo of New Ipswich, N.H. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Gionet, who died in 1975. She was also predeceased by a brother, Eugene Champagne; her sister, Cecile Leger; and a granddaughter, Hope Rintala.
GIONET -- On March 3, Doris Roseanna (Champagne) Gionet, 78, of Orange City, Fla. The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 8, from the Curley-Marchand Funeral Home, 89 West St., Leominster, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
