LEOMINSTER -- Marjorie “Margie” (Brown) (Sorette) Germain, 65, of 61 Church St., Leominster, died Friday, Jan. 27, in HeathAlliance Hospital/Leominster.
She was born in Holyoke, on Jan. 10, 1941, the daughter of the late John A. and the late Helen (Carroll) Brown.
She grew up in Sterling and Leominster. She worked at the Village Rest Home in Leominster, Bethel Rest Home in Fitchburg and MOC Child Care & Head Start as a child care provider for many years.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking and entertaining. She planned many parties, Christmas and Halloween were her favorites. She was well loved and will be greatly missed.
She leaves her husband of 13 years, Thomas A. Germain; five children, Marlene Leger and her husband, Denis, of Stanhope, N.J., Darlene Comeau and her husband, Perry, of Fitchburg, Denise Daigle and her husband, Lenny, of Fitchburg, Rene Sorette and his wife, Betty, of Leominster, Michelle Arseneau and her husband, Ricky, of Fitchburg; one sister, Thelma Martin of Fitchburg; her first husband, Rene Sorette of Nashua, N.H., eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
GERMAIN -- Marjorie “Margie” (Brown) (Sorette) Germain, 65, of Leominster. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, at 5:30 p.m. in the M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210; the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701; or to the National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd St., Suite 1100, New York, NY 10016.
