FITCHBURG -- Lena (LeBlanc) Larcenaire, 89, of 347 Theresa St., died Saturday, March 19, at HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, after an illness.
She was born in Fitchburg on March 3, 1916, the daughter of Calixt E. and Amanda (Leger) LeBlanc and lived in Fitchburg most of her life. She also resided in Gardner for a short period.
Mrs. Larcenaire owned and operated for 17 years the Union Doll Clothing Company in Fitchburg.
She was a past member of the booster club of Fitchburg. She organized many bus tours for Wilson Bus Lines. She was a past member of the Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church in Fitchburg. She was an avid card player and also enjoyed visiting Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut.
Mrs. Larcenaire was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg.
She is survived by a son, Emile H. Larcenaire of Fitchburg; one daughter, Janice A. Morin of Fitchburg; two sisters, Dorothy Gaik of Fitchburg and Florida and Edna Boisvert of Fitchburg and Florida; and two grandchildren, David Larcenaire and Kimberly A. Morin. Her husband, Albert Larcenaire, died in July 1994. She was also predeceased by six brothers, James LeBlanc, Eddie LeBlanc, Louis LeBlanc, Fred LeBlanc, Albert LeBlanc, Edmond LeBlanc and one sister, Flora Leger.
LARCENAIRE -- On March 19, Lena (LeBlanc) Larcenaire, 89, of Fitchburg. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are the day of the funeral from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg.
