Marie (Cormier) Leger GARDNER -
Marie (Cormier) Leger of 149 West St died yesterday in Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital after an illness. Her husband George A. Leger, died in 1971. She leaves three daughters, Jeannine E. Savoie of Leominster, and Georgette L. Landry and Rosemarie Perini, both of Gardner; two brothers, Marc Cormier and Odilon Cormier, both of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a friend, Hector Pelletier of Orange. A daughter, Dolores O'Brien, died in 1983. She was born in St Damien, New Brunswick, daughter of Calixte and Eualie (LeBlanc) Cormier, and had lived in Gardner most of her life. Mrs. Leger was a sander for the former L.Z. Kamman Co., retiring in 1961. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. The funeral will be held Tuesday from the Dufault-Boucher Funeral Home, 110 Nichols St, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Flowers may be sent, or memorial donations may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
