FITCHBURG -- Dorothy Raymond Gaik, 83, of Fitchburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, N.H.
She was born in Fitchburg on Aug. 26, 1922, the daughter of Calice and Amanda (Leger) LeBlanc and had resided in Fitchburg for many years. She was also a former resident of Florida and most recently resided at the Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester, N.H.
Mrs. Gaik was employed for many years at the OS Cook & Son Company in Fitchburg. She was also employed as a real estate agent for the former Atkinson Real Estate Company and the MacGregor Real Estate Company. She also worked as a manager at the Old Mill Restaurant in Westminster.
She was a former member of the St. Joseph Church in Fitchburg. She was an avid Bridge player and also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Gaik is survived by her husband, Edward Gaik of Manchester, N.H.; two daughters, Patricia A. Maiocco of Williamsburg, Va., and Linda J. Paris of Sharon, N.H.; one sister, Edna Boisvert of Pinellas Park, Fla.; three grandchildren, Robin Vergato of Candia, N.H., David Maiocco of Alexandria, Va., and Amy St. Jean of Mount Laurel, N.J.; four great-grandchildren, Ally St. Jean, Belle St. Jean, Lilly St. Jean, and Elise St. Jean. Her first husband, Andrew Raymond of Fitchburg, died in 1983.
GAIK -- On Feb. 14, Dorothy Raymond Gaik, 83, of Fitchburg. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 18, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg.
