Helen Jarvis
LEOMINSTER -- Helen I. (Bergevin) Jarvis, 85, of 6 Nile St., died Sunday, Aug. 12, at the Baldwinville Nursing Home.
Mrs. Jarvis was born in Fitchburg, Sept. 26, 1921 a daughter of Eustache and Delvina Bergevin and has resided in Leominster for many years.
Mrs. Jarvis was the wife of the late Robert Jarvis.
Mrs. Jarvis is survived by a son and daughter in law; Dr. Richard G. and Donna M. Jarvis of Westminster; one daughter, Theresa Hastings; one brother, Paul Bergevin of Fitchburg; two sisters, Jeanne Day of Leominster and Rita Langelier of West Brookfield; six grandchildren, Ross Jarvis, Alex Jarvis, Lindsay Jarvis, Kristina Frazee, Mark LeBlanc and Sean Hastings; three great grandchildren, Nicholas Hastings, Lauren Hastings and Samantha Frazee.
Mrs. Jarvis was the sister of the late Blanche Leger and Delvina St. Onge.
Mrs. Jarvis was employed for 26 years at the former Cluette & Peabody Shirt Factory in Leominster as a presser.
Mrs. Jarvis was a communicant of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster.
JARVIS --A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday at St. Leo’s Church, 108 Main St., Leominster. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation period will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. prior to the funeral at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Leo’s Church Building Fund, 108 Main St., Leominster 01453.
