STERLING -- Marilyn J. (Leger) Donston, 65, died Monday, April 9, in her home, surrounded by family, after a brave battle with cancer.
Born May 12, 1941, in Fitchburg, she was the daughter of William and Anna (Young) Leger. She lived in Fitchburg for most of her life, moving to Sterling two years ago with her family.
Mrs. Donston graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1958. She later earned her degree in social services, and she worked as a counselor for several years. She was a talented craftsperson. Mrs. Donston’s greatest joy was her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Alan Donston, whom she supported in his long military service, and lovingly cared for during his own brave battle with cancer.
