L. M. LeBlanc Buctouche (Special) -
The death of Leon M. LeBlanc of Buctouche occurred at his home Wednesday following a brief illness. He was 88. Born in Buctouche he was the son of the late Melene and Susan (Bastarache) LeBlanc. He was a farmer retiring several years ago. His wife, the former Valentine Hebert died in 1949 He is survived by four sons, Pierre of Buctouche, and Alyre of Buctouche, with whom he resided, Fidele of Gardiner, Mass., and Joe, Florida; five daughters, Mrs. Alyre LeBlanc (Anna), Buctouche; Mrs. Germain Savoie, Mrs. Emery Vienneau (Alice), Mrs. Roy Leger (Mary) and Mrs. Peter Perry (Rita), all of Gardiner, Mass.; one brother, Gonzague of Scoudouc; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A daughter Mrs. Vincent Cook (Irene) of Edmonton, Alta., died two years ago. The body is resting at Richard's funeral home, Buctouche with funeral service to be held from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Buctouche Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The body will be placed in the receiving vault for burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.
