C. S. LeBlanc AMHERST (Special) -
The death of Charles Stephen LeBlanc, a lifelong resident of Joggins, occurred at Highland View Hospital Tuesday morning following a short illness. He was 89 years of age, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen LeBlanc of Minudie. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Name Society and of the Knights of Columbus. He was the last surviving member of his family. His wife the former Ada Comeau of Minudie died 12 years ago. Surviving are four daughters and three sons, Stephen and Ted of Joggins and Victor of St Catherines, Ontario; Adele (Mrs. Henry White) and Mabel (Mrs. Garnet Legere), both of Joggins; Marlon (Mrs. Neil White) of River Hebert and Doris (Mrs. Robert Gaynor) of Riverton, Pictou County. There are also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The body is resting at his home in Joggins. The funeral service will be held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Joggins today at 9 a.m. with interment in the Ragged Reef cemetery.
