Malcolm Leger of Leominster; 89
LEOMINSTER -- Malcolm Leger, 89, of Leominster, died Oct. 8, 2011 in The Highlands, Fitchburg. He was born August 24, 1922 in St. Antoine, NB, Canada, son of Edmond and Exelda (LeBlanc) Leger. Mr.Leger owned and operated Leger Bros. contractors and builders with his brothers for 35 years. Prior to retiring he worked as a wire tester for Mohawk Wire and Cable. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish and he was an avid Red Sox, Montreal Canadiens, and Boston Bruins fan. He also enjoyed bingo, flea markets, and gardening and his grandchildren. Malcolm is survived by two sons Raymond Leger and his wife Susan of Houston, TX and Donald Leger and his wife Heather of Lancaster, MA, two daughters Ann Scorzelli and her husband Robert of Jaffrey, NH, Lisa Nowlan of Leominster, three brothers Donald Leger, Fred Leger and Yvon Leger all of Leominster, two sisters Emerise Girouard of Moncton, NB, Canada and Noella Roy of St. Marie, NB, Canada, and grandchildren Michael Scorzelli, Katharine Scorzelli, Ashley Leger, Amanda Leger, Lyndsey Nowlan, Derrick Leger and Emilie Leger, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Florine M. Leger, two brothers, Eloi Leger and Aurele Leger and five sisters AnnMarie Leger, Doris Leger, Lorraine Leger, Bertha Goguen, and Aldea LeBlanc.
LEGER -- Mr. Leger's Funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster, MA with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Leominster, MA. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Parish, 1400 Main Street, Leominster, MA, or to A charity of the donors choice.
