LEOMINSTER -- Francis E. Boegemann Sr., 57, of 32 Bruce St., died Thursday, Jan. 9, in his home after being stricken ill.
Born March 22, 1945, in St. Paul, Minn., he was the son of Anton and Mary (Sprank) Boegemann. He graduated from the Cretin Military Christian Brothers School in Minnesota Class of 1963. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years receiving the rank of Sgt. First Class. He was a Vietnam War Veteran.
After retiring in 1983, from Fort Devens in Ayer he worked as a lab techician at Catalina Marketing for 10 years.
Mr. Boegemann was a member of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster, the Leominster Lodge of Elks 1237 and served as a Loyal Elk, the Knights of Columbus and its Fourth Degree.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Madeleine (Legere) Boegemann of Leominster; one son, Francis E. Boegemann Jr. of Fitchburg; one daughter, Michelle Sauer of Shirley; two grandsons, Chad and Noa Sauer of Shirley.
BOEGEMANN -- On Jan. 9, Francis E. Boegemann Sr., 57, of Leominster. The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 13 from the Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., in Leominster, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Shirley in the spring. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a ritual service by the Leominster Lodge of Elks at 6:45 p.m.
