Mrs. H. Auffrey PRE D'EN HAUT (Special) -
Mrs. Hermance Auffrey, 96, of Pre-d'en-Haut, widow of Wilfred Auffrey, died Tuesday at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a brief illness. Born in St. Joseph, she was a daughter of the late Andre and Emelie (LeBlanc) Gaudet and attended Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pre d'en-Haut. She was a member of the Pre-d'en-Haut Golden Age Club. Her husband died in 1969. She is survived by seven daughters, Alva., Germaine, Ella and Mrs. Melas Richard (Aline), all of Pre-d'en-Haut, Mrs. Camille Bourgeois (Marie) of Belliveau Village, Mrs. Lorenzo Leger (Edna) of Moncton and Mrs. John R. Leger (Flora) of Dorchester; three sons, Walter of Moncton, Alfred of Dieppe and Francis of Fitchburg, Mass.; 21 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Anita; two sons, Henrie and Alban; six sisters, Lucie, Ermenonda, Edna, Irene, Albertina and Beatrice; and two brothers, Emile and Eloi. The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring.
