O. Leger St. Antoine (Special) -
Ovila Leger, 78, of Villa Providence, Shediac, husband of Clarice (Leger) Leger and formerly of St. Antoine, died Monday at the residence after a lengthy illness. Born in St. Antoine, he was a son of the late Fred M. and Belzemee (Breau) Leger. A well known retired businessman, he operated the former Dancerama in Moncton and owned and operated a garage in St. Antoine for many years. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Valmon of Cocagne; two sisters, Mrs. Aquilla Surette (Dorilla) of St. Antoine and Mrs. Emile Richard (Irene) of Shediac; three granddaughters, several nieces and nephews. A sister, Laudie, and four brothers, Alphonse, Yvon, Leandre and Leonard, all died previously. The body is at Salle St. Antoine de L'Hermite. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at St. Antoine de L'Hermite Roman Catholic Church at 3 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook.
