LeBLANC, ERNEST - 1916 - 2011 -
Ernest LeBlanc, 95, of Cocagne passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday June 20th, 2011 at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Moncton. He was married to the late Lorette (Richard) LeBlanc (1981). Born in Cocagne on June 7th, 1916, he was the son of the late Alfred and the late Dina (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Ernest was a farmer, and was also employed with the Highway Department and with the Department of Defence (No 5). He will be sadly missed by his six children; Jean-Marie (Yvette) of Cocagne, Rheal of Berne, Switzerland, Corinne Leger (Charles) of Little Dover Road, Patricia Walker (Allain) of Drummond, NB, Cecile LeBlanc (Jacques Martin) of Dieppe, Andrea LeBlanc of Chambly, QC and one daughter in law Lucille LeBlanc of Cocagne, eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn a special friend Juliette LeBlanc of Sainte-Marie de Kent, and several nephews and nieces. Ernest was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by one son Paul (May 2011), seven sisters, Bella, Edna, Sara, Delphine, Germaine, Dorilla, and Corinne, and four brothers, Alban, Albert, Antoine and Ovila. Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Thursday, June 23rd, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Friday, June 24th, 2011 at 2:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.In Ernest's memory, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus Bursary Funds Cocagne, or to the Cocagne parish cemetery funds.
