Mrs. S. Auffrey St. Joseph (Special) -
Mrs. Seraphine Auffrey, 81, of St. Joseph, and formerly of Memramcook West, died Tuesday at Residence de Notre Dame Sacre Coeur, Dieppe after a lengthy illness. Born in Pre d'en Haut, she was a daughter of the late Dolphe and Leah (Cormier) Richard. Her first Husband, Louis Cormier, died in 1943. Her second husband, Albenie Auffrey, died in 1981. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Landry (Zella) of College Bridge, Mrs. Arthur Gautreau (Norma) of Moncton and Sister Irene Cormer NDSC Baie Ste Anne; five sons, Emerie of Moncton, Herman of Pre d'en Haut, Gerald and Claude, both of Waltham, Mass., and Richard of Fredericton; three step-daughters, Mrs. Leonard Leger (Rita), Mrs. Alphonse Cormier (Theresa) and Mrs. Antoine Cormier (Admee), all of Sommerville, Conn.; two step-sons, Aurele of Memramcook West; two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert Melanson (Marguerite) and Mrs. Dominique Melanson (Irene), both of Pre d'en Haut; 44 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Leola, and five sons, Leola, Raymond, Dosithe, Alderic and Vital, all died previously. The body is at Dupuis funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Notre Dame de Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook. Burial will be in Pre d'en Haut pariah cemetery in the spring.
