A. L. Comeau -
The death of Adolphe L. Comeau of 316 Highfield Street, Apartment 3, Moncton, occurred Monday at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 84. Born in Comeau Ville, Digby County, N.S., he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Comeau of Comeau Ville. He was a retired fish merchant (Moncton Fish Market) after spending his life in the occupation. He attended Assumption Cathedral. He had retired from serving on the advisory board of Eastern Chartered Trust Company and was a former member of the Moncton Curlers' Association and a former member of the Moncton Board of Trade. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Violet (LeBlanc) Comeau of Moncton, two daughters, Mrs. Claudius I. L. Leger (Loraine) of Moncton and Mrs. Dollard C. Cormier (Lucille), also of Moncton; two sisters, Mrs. Marie D'Entremont of Halifax; Mrs. Eulalie Belliveau, and Miss Lorette Comeau, both of Montreal; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body is resting at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, with the funeral service to be held Wednesday from Assumption Cathedral at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
