Mrs. A. Comeau St. Ignace (Special) -
The death of Mrs. Emerise Comeau, wife of Antoine Comeau of St. Ignace, occurred Wednesday at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste. Anne de Kent after a lengthy illness. She was 86. Born in St. Ignace, she was a daughter of the late Jacques and Marie (Leger) Barrieau. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Medor Arsenault (Alice) of Saint John, Mrs. Hubert Johnson (Emelda) and Mrs. Edmond Ouellette (Alma) both of St. Ignace, seven sons, Sylvain and Alphee, both of Gardner, Mass., Emile, Aurele, Gerard, Yvon and Alyre Comeau, all of St. Ignace; one sister, Mrs. Albert Richard (Melina) of St. Ignace, one brother, Elzear Barrieau of Gardner, 57 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren. The body is resting at the slumber room, St. Louis de Kent Roman Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. Ignace Roman Catholic church with interment in the parish cemetery.
