BABINEAU, Edgar Ivan "Ed"
BABINEAU, Edgar Ivan "Ed" - Antigonish, passed away after brave battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at the age of 77 years. Born in Shediac, N.B. he was a son of the elate Henri and Ann (Legere) Babineau. He was a resident of Springhill for many years. Retired employee of CN in the road freight transportation business between Moncton and Sydney for many years. Ed has been a resident of J. J. Carroll Seniors Complex in Antigonish for the last several years where he was highly regarded by his neighbours. Surviving are his friend, love of his life, former wife, Elise Babineau Richard; son, Troy, Calgary; daughters, Debbie (Gordie) Gillis, Antigonish; Donah (Paul), Vancouver, B.C.; Kelly (Michael) St. Pierre, Halifax; sisters, Lorraine, Glenholme; Nola, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his very special grandchildren, Nicole and Jacqueline Gillis, and their pet, Greta. He was predeceased by brother and sisters, Edmund, Augusta and Bernedette. Cremation has taken place and a burial will occur at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. "Ever remembered ever loved"
