The death of William DrisdeIle of 58 Humphrey Street occurred in Hotel Dieu Tuesday after a brief illness. He was 80. Born in St Paul, Kent County, he was a son of the late Philippe and Olive (Bourque) Drisdelle, and retired as a CNR carman in 1944 after 42 years of service. He attended Christ the King Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Sacred Heart league, Surviving are, his wife, the former Ida Melanson, three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Clowater (Olive) and Mrs. Emile Leger (Gerene), both of Moncton, and Miss Lorraine Drisdelle of Gardner, Mass.; five sons, Alban, Clarence, Edgar and Emery, all of Moncton and Rev. Gerard Drisdelle of Montreal; two sisters, Mrs. Nathalie Bourgeois of Moncton and Mrs. Sara LeBlanc of Leominster, Mass.; 23 grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home in Moncton with service to be held Friday at 9 a.m. at Christ the King church. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery vault for burial in the spring.
