The death of Edward Gordon Chandler, 83 Robinson Street, Moncton occurred Thursday at Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. He was 70. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Alma (McPhee) and the late Edward Clarence Chandler and attended the Salvation Army. He was a retired Canadian National Railways employee, and a veteran of the Second World War. He is survived by his wife, former Annie Fowler; four daughters, Miss Georgina Chandler, Lewisville, Miss Diane, Moncton, Mrs. James Goguen (Ella) and Mrs. Edmond Leger (Olive), both of Moncton; three sons, Donald, Steeves and Raymond, both of Saint John, and Frank of Moncton; one brother, Robert of Moncton, and several nieces and nephews, and by 10 grandchildren. The body is resting at Tuttle brothers' funeral home, Moncton. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from Tuttle Brother's Memorial Chapel with interment in the Elmwood cemetery.
