S. J. Sauveur Amherst (Special) -
The death of Stephen J. Sauveur, 64, of 68 Academy Street, Amherst, occurred Wednesday at Highland View Hospital. Born in Belledune, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sauveur. He was a retired machinist with Enamel and Heating Company Ltd., Amherst. Surviving are his wife, the former Audrey Doucett of Belledune; four daughters, Mrs. Reginald Leger (Carmel) of Oshawa, Ont., Mrs. James Nelson (Betty) of Brookdale, N.S., and Rosemary and Patricia, both at home; six sons, Bernard and Arthur of River Philip, N.S., Edward of Calgary, Charles of Montreal, and Donald and Paul, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Roger Courteau (Louise) of Quebec City; a brother, Harmony of Campbellton, and nine grandchildren. The body is resting at Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst, where parish rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
