Murder Case to Be Before Today’s Session of Court
Sittings of the Supreme Court will open today in Dorchester with Mr. Justice Richards presiding.
The first case to be heard will that of Arthur Alexander leger of Lewisville, charged with the murder of his wife, Norma Leger, in their Lewisville home on the night of September 15.
The case will go before a grand jury at 7 p.m. at if a true bill is returned Leger will go on trial before the presiding judge and a petit jury.
He was remanded to the Supreme Court by Magistrate W. F. Lane in the Moncton city court several weeks ago after 12 witnesses gave evidence at the preliminary hearing.
G.F.G. Bridges will appear for the crown and E.R. McDonald, K.Z of Shediac will appear as council for the accused.
