Arthur Leger -
The funeral for the late Arthur Leger, who died suddenly on Saturday night last, was held yesterday morning from his late residence to Assomption Cathedral where high mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Camille LeBlanc. The large number of sorrowing friends and relatives present at the service was indicative of the respect and esteem to which the deceased man was held. Following the funeral service the body was taken by motor hearse to Barachois and was laid to rest in the family lot in the Barachois cemetery. Prayers were recited at the graveside by Rev. Fr. Edgar LeBlanc. Pallbearers were Ben Boudreau, Robert Boudreau, of Shediac; Maurice Bourque, Raymond Leger, of Barachois, and Fred Doyle and Irois Landry, of Moncton. The many mass cards, floral pieces and messages of sympathy received at the late home testifled to the high esteem in which the late Mr. Leger was held.
