J. F. Boyle Bathurst (Special) -
The death of James F. Boyle of 255 St. George Street, Bathurst occurred Monday at Chaleur Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 75. Born at North West Bridge, Northumberland County, he was a son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Craig) Boyle. He was employed with CN in Newcastle some 40 years, having been transferred to Bathurst in 1948. Upon retirement he operated Boyle's Lunch on St. George Street. He was a fourth degree member of Msgr. Wheten Assembly Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ida Leger; two sons, Edward of Lynn, Mass. and Paul of Victoria, B. C; five daughters, Mrs. J. Everett Keays (Kay) Chandler, Que., Sister Frances Boyle and Mrs. Douglas Harding (Joan), both of Halifax; Mrs. Everett Moran (Helen) of Lynn, Mass. and Sister Margaret Boyle of Alberta; three brothers, Elwood and Ernest, both of Newcastle and William of Chatham and 14 grandchildren. The body is resting at Hogan's funeral home, Bathurst. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Burial will be in the Roman Catholic cemetery, King Avenue.
