Death of P. Bourgeois -
The death of Phillippe A. Bourgeois, Robinson Street, occurred Friday at St. Joseph Providence Home in Shediac after a lengthy illness. He was 89. Born at Memramcook, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ambroise Bourgeois of Belliveau Village. He was a retired CNR boilermaker having retired in 1934 after 33 years of service. He is survived by four daughters, Rev. Sr. Marie Philomene, Rev. Sr. Eva Bourgeois, Rev. Sr. Marie Solange, Rev. Sr. Marie Fidelle, all of NDSC congregation, and four sons, Edmond of Montreal, Henry P. Thomas, Times and Transcript staff photographer, and Emile J., all of Moncton. A sister, Mrs. Eugenie Leger of Waterbury, Conn., 29 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, also survive. The body will rest at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, from 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. The funeral will be held Monday at ( a.m. from Assumption Cathedral. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery vault to await burial in the spring.
