B. Poirier St. Joseph (Special) -
Bernard Poirier, 54, of St. Joseph, died Thursday night at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton after a brief illness. Born at St. Joseph, he was a son of the late Jacques and Leona (Leger) Poirier. He was a plumber by trade and was a member of the Memramcook branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Memramcook Golden Age Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Cecile Belliveau, a daughter, Mrs. Euclide Cormier (Joanne) of St. Joseph; two sons, Victor and Claude Poirier, both at home; nine brothers, Eugene (Gene) of Belleville, Ont., George of Ayer, Mass., Jean Paul of Mississauga, Ont., Dollard and Leonard, both of St. Paul de Kent, Robert, Norbert, Guy and Gerard Poirier, all of St. Joseph; a grandchild and by nieces and nephews. The body is at Dupuis' Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated 3:30 p.m. Sunday from St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
