Laurie Leger St. Joseph (Special) -
The death of Laurie Leger of St. Joseph occurred suddenly Friday at the age of 51. Born at Memramcook West, he was a son of the late Gillie and Minnie (Gould) Leger. He was a tinsmith. He served in the Army during the Second World War. Surviving are, his wife, the former Esther Leger; four daughters, Mrs. John Peck (Eleanor) of Toronto, Joan, Emily and Annette, all at home; five sons, Norman of Memramcook West, Raymond of Toronto, Paul, Gilbert and Rickey, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Fred Leger (Rita) of Montreal; four brothers, Fred of Montreal, Leo of Waltham. Mass., Roy of Dieppe and Alonzo of New Glasgow; and five grandchildren. The body is resting at Dupuis' funeral home in Memramcook with service to be held today at 7:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Church, St. Joseph. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
