Mrs. S. Landry Dies at Age 80 -
The death of Mrs. Sifrois Landry of McDougall Settlement occurred early Tuesday morning at the home of her son, Alyre, also of MacDougal Settlement, following a lengthy illness. She was 80 years of age, and was the former Anne Marie Leger, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dominique Leger of Grand Digue. Mrs. Landry is survived by four sons, Emile, of Malakoff; Aurele of Humphrey; Alyre and Alphonse of McDougall Settlement; four daughters, Mrs. Elise Brun, Cape Bald; Mrs. Olivier Breau (Eva), Mrs. Herve LeBlanc (Lea), and Miss Yvonne Landry, all of Lynn, Mass. Also surviving are three brothers, Lionel Leger, Edward Leger, and Senator Aurele Leger, all of Grand Digue; two sisters, Mrs. Aurelie Hacher, of Grand Digue, and Mrs. Leonide Arsenault of Moncton. The body is resting in Frenette's funeral home, 215 St. George Street, and funeral will be held Thursday morning at nine o'clock from the Roman Catholic Church, Notre Dame. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
