Mrs. B. LeBlanc -
The death of Mrs. Blair (Elodie) LeBlanc, RR 1, Cocagne, occurred Wednesday at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital following a brief illness. She was 87. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Hypolite and Sara (Bourgeois) LeBlanc, both of Cocagne, and attended the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband; six daughters, Miss Rita LeBlanc and Mrs. Raymond Goguen (Sara), both of Cocagne, Mrs. Sylvain Bourgeois (Louise) and Mrs. Odule Bourgeois (Yvonne), both of Grande Digue, Mrs. Germaine Leger, Cocagne Cape, and Rev. Sister Elnora, a Christ the King missionary in British Columbia; five sons, Leo LeBlanc, Laurie LeBlanc, Thomas LeBlanc and Frank LeBIanc all of Notre Dame and Blair LeBlanc, Dieppe; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Richard (Rose), Moncton and Mrs. Jude LeBlanc (Bertha), Notre Dame; one brother, Wilfred LeBlanc, Notre Dame; 48 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac. The funeral service will be held at the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Notre Dame, on Friday at 10:15 a.m. The body will be placed in the parish cemetery vault awaiting interment in the spring.
