Mrs. M. Gallant -
The death of Mrs. Melesse Gallant, widow of Ben Gallant, Cormier Village, occurred Wednesday at the Villa Providence Home, Shediac, after a lengthy illness. She was 76. Born in Ohio, N.B., she was the daughter of the late George and Henriette (Doiron) Boudreau. She attended the Upper Aboujagne Roman Catholic Church. Her husband died in 1960. Surviving are four daughters, Miss Rose Leger, Mrs. Albert Boucher (Exelda), both of Fitchburg, Mass., Mrs. Joseph Horvet (Lucia), California and Mrs. Danny Miller (Rita), Chicago; two sons, Edouard Gallant and Onila Gallant, both of Cormier Village; one brother, Philicien Boudreau, Shediac; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac. The funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Upper Aboujagane Roman Catholic Church . Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
