Honore Leger Shediac (Special) -
The death of Honore Leger of Shediac and formerly of St. Anthony occurred Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Henry Babineau, here. He was 86. Born at St. Mary, he was a son of the late Olivier and Mathilda (LeBlanc) Leger. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are, his wife, the former Mary Jane Arsenault; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Bourque (Honovine) of Rosaireville, Mrs. Aime Girouard (Emma) of Chant D'Or, Mrs. Len Hachey (Stella) of Waltham, Mass., Mrs. Henry Babineau (Sophie), with whom he resided; five sons, Aurele of Moncton, Emile of Chant D'Or and Leonide, Alban and Louis, alI of St. Anthony; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Melanson (Mary) and Mrs. Alyre Belliveau (Amanda), both of Cocagne, and Mrs. Alyre Ouellette of Leominster, Mass.; four brothers, Philias of Gardner, Mass., Amedee of Wattham, Andy of St. Anthony and Alban of Chant D'Or; 42 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. The body is resting at Richard's funeral home, Buctouche, with service to be held at the St. Anthony Roman Catholic church Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
