Mrs. P. Cormier Amherst (Special) -
The death of Mrs. Edna Mary Cormier of 44 York Street, Amherst, occurred Friday at Sackvllle Memorial Hospital. She was 61. Born in St. Andre. NB, she was a daughter of the late Damion Brine and Mrs. Annie (Gould) Brine. Her second husband, Philip., died in August. Besides her mother, she is survived by one son, Robert Burke, Dorchester, N.B.; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gould (Peggy), Middle Sackville; five brothers, Willie, Alfie, John, Adolph and Edgar Brine, all of Sackville; five sisters, Mrs. Emery Burke (Ida), Oshawa. Ont. and Mrs. Hazel Hicks, Mrs. Rita Cormier and Mrs. Lena Leger, all of Sackville and Mrs. Carmen Briggs (Marsoline),Truro and 17 grand children and one great grandson. The body is resting at Campbells funeral home in Amherst. The funeral mass will will be celebrated at the Nativity of Our Lady Roman Catholic Church in Amherst at 10 a.m. today. Burial will be in the St. Charles Roman Catholic Cemetery, Amherst.
