Augustin Leger St. Mary (Special) -
The death of Augustine Leger of St. Mary, occurred Wednesday evening at Moncton Hospital, following a short illness. He was 59. Born in St. Mary, he was the son of the late Philip and Elise (Melanson) Leger. He was a carpenter by trade. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Nowlan; two daughters. Misses Yvette and Phyllis, both at home; one son, Jean-Guy of Buctouche; five sisters, Mrs. Oscar Deutel (Anita) of Bloomfield, N.J.; Mrs. Isodore Girouard (Emma) and Mrs. Robert Cormier (Mary) both of St. Mary; Mrs. Thomas Nowlan (Odila) of Waltham, Mass.; and Mrs. Rheal Richard (Jeannine) of Moncton; seven brothers, Emile and Yvon, both of Moncton; Nerie of Waltham, Mass.; Antoine of Waltham, Mass.; Leonide of Arlington, Mass.; Leo of Toronto and Paul of Cambridge, Mass. The body is resting at Richard's Funeral Home in Buctouche. The funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the St. Mary Roman Catholic Churrh. Interment will be to the parish cemetery.
